
Radhika Raasarathe has been immersed in the stories, rhythm, and grace of Bharatanatyam since the tender age of four. Today, based in Texas, USA, she is the Artistic Director of Anurakthi Art Space, a luminous space where classical Indian arts are revived, reimagined, and lived, fostering a community of learners who dance not just with their bodies, but with their hearts.

Dedicated to reimagining and redefining Bharatanatyam for contemporary and passionate learners, Radhika remains deeply rooted in tradition. She began her formal training under Smt. P. Uma Subramanian, completing her Salangai Pooja in 2003, and continued her foundational studies with Smt. Sunita Vishwakarma in Karnataka, completing the lower-level Bharatanatyam exam in 2007. She further honed her skills under Smt. Sujatha Gopinathan, completing her Arangetram in 2010, performing a wide repertoire including Varnam, Padham, Kavithuvam, and Thillana. She has since trained under esteemed gurus Smt. Mrudula Rai, Padmabhushan Shobana Chandrakumar, Guru Shri. Parshwanath Upadhye, Smt. Shruti Upadhye, Shri. Adhitya PV, and currently Smt. Lakshmi Parthasarathy Athreya.

Radhika holds a Master of Fine Arts in Bharatanatyam from Kalai Kaviri College of Fine Arts, an MBA in Human Resources (2023–2025) from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (2012–2016) from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, blending artistic creativity with analytical rigor.

She has performed extensively in India and internationally, including prestigious venues such as Mysore Palace, Brihadeshwara Temple (Tanjore), Shilpakalavedika Hyderabad, Kollam Amritapuri, Cochin, and the Hockey World Cup 2018 at Kalinga Stadium, Orissa, as well as numerous temples and cultural festivals across the United States. She has also performed alongside Padmabhushan Shobana, contributing to productions that celebrate the depth and richness of classical Bharatanatyam.

As an educator, Radhika has been instrumental in nurturing dancers of all ages. She founded Anurakthi Art Space, offering private and group lessons, workshops, and choreographing for both corporate and cultural productions. She has taught in Florida, Bangalore, and Chennai, choreographed performances such as the Philadelphia Ratha Yatra RaasLeela (2019), and served as a research dance intern under Padmabhushan Shobana.

Radhika’s teaching philosophy emphasizes holistic learning, interactive engagement, and multiple approaches to Bharatanatyam. She encourages dancers to embrace slow, intentional movement, expressive abhinaya, and creative exploration, fostering a deep connection between body, mind, and heart. Her work reflects a vision where Bharatanatyam is not only practiced, but lived, reimagined, and redefined as a truly contemporary yet classical art form.
